Foreword

This Table which is compiled by the Office of the Clerk for the use of Parliament, the Department of the Legislative Assembly and for general information contains the List of Acts of Samoa and Samoa Regulations in force as at 31st December 2007 and those which have been passed to come into force at a later date.

          Listing of Acts is an ongoing process; with additions of new Acts and new Regulations and deletions of repealed Acts and revoked Regulations. 

          The Constitution is reprinted following the passing of each Constitution Amendment Act, the last being the 25^th January 2005 Reprint.  The last reprint of the Electoral Act 1963 was on 1^st February 2006, and the last reprint of the Legislative Assembly Powers and Privileges Act 1960 was on 10^th January 2006.

Reprinted Acts 1977 and 1997 are indexed in the appropriate sequence.

          All Acts are in the Samoan and English languages but the Reprinted Acts, except for the Constitution and the Electoral Act 1963 are in the English language only.  For that reason, copies of all Principal Acts and Amendment Acts are available for sale as well as copies of Reprints.

          The Acts can be browsed free of charge on the Parliament website: www.parliament.gov.ws.  Downloading is not possible as required by the Acts Interpretation Act 1974.  Copies of Acts and Regulations are procurable by purchase at the Office of the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly.
